wallet_connect

Opens the interactive connection UI so the user can continue with their 1auth passkey account or choose an external wallet. Use this public EIP-1193 method only when your interface intentionally offers both choices.

Try it

Parameters

None.

Returns

string[] - Array of account addresses that the user has authorized.

Example

const accounts = await provider.request({ method: 'wallet_connect' });
console.log('Connected as:', accounts[0]);

Behavior

  • wallet_connect always opens the passkey-or-external-wallet connection choice.
  • The normal 1auth passkey path remains available in the chooser.
  • Use eth_requestAccounts for normal passkey-only authentication.
  • eth_accounts is passive: it reports currently authorized accounts without opening authentication or connection UI.
